That spoolie you've used to brush through your

Appalachian Wildlife Refuge, which works to rehabilitate
wildlife in Western North Carolina, has found that used
mascara wands and spoolies do wonders to remove fl y
eggs and larvae from animal fur. Savannah Trantham,
cofounder of Appalachian Wildlife, took to Facebook
to report her discovery and request wand and spoolie
donations from beauty lovers near and far. "Do you
have old mascara just lying around in a drawer?
Know a makeup artist? Clean off those old
wands in hot soapy water and we can put
them to good use!" she wrote. Of course, your
spoolies are mascara-free, so you're already a step
ahead! Be a part of the new Wands for Wildlife
